A Night Comes! is loosely based off of the eroge "Yoru ga Kuru! -Square of the Moon-" published by Alicesoft. The initial idea for the radio play actually originated from a series of AOL roleplaying storylines that ran in 2004, 2005, and 2006. Many people went through many roles during the three times that the storyline was attempted, but the most prominent players have been around for more than one attempt and have also contributed towards many of the ideas present in the radio play.
The StoryWhen a mysterious second moon appears in the sky, everything in the city of Kokura, Japan begins to change. The Astronomical Agency observed this new moon and concluded that it simply doesn't exist; we see it, yet it isn't there. Following the appearance of this new moon, dubbed the "False Moon" by the people of Kokura, dangerous monsters begin to appear and attack anything in sight when the False Moon is full. These monsters are referred to as "Kasha" by those that know about them, after the demonic forms that they take on. However, a group of teenagers attending Kokura High, part of the school's Astronomy Club, possess special abilities to fight back against the Kasha, and have begun their own search to discover the purpose of this new moon. The Astronomy Club is simply a front for these students, who are both fighting the monsters that are attacking the city as well as scouting the city for people with abilities just like theirs.
